Miss this spot. Grew up going here and so sad to see this place closed. The pupusas were the bomb!

Whoa. This place is pretty good to get your Salvadorian food fix. We went on a Monday for a late lunch. Looks like street parking only. On a weekday, it was no issue. The outside of the restaurant looks more like a house and the inside it's pretty spacious. Nice hole in the wall type of place with pretty good and reasonably priced food. There were 7 of us so I got to try a sampling of things. YUCA CON CHICHARRONES - Fried yuca goodness. The pork was a little overcooked and dry to me. PASTELITOS DE PUERCO - Fried pork empanadas had a lot of flavor with a nice light crunch. So so good. TAMAL DE PUERCO - I really really enjoyed the tamale. It felt lighter than a Mexican tamale and a great flavor from the banana leaf. PUPUSA DE LOROCO Y QUESO - I was soo full from everything else that I had to take this home. It was good, but probably would of been a lot better fresh. Our waitress was friendly, but service was a little slow. She was nice enough to pack up our leftovers with salsa and the pickled cabbage. Overall, I would come back. CASH ONLY.

My first time having a Panes Con Pavo, the Salvadorean turkey sandwich. I have heard so much about this sandwich and it did live up to the expectation. It is shredded Turkey with a sauce made of different spices and mustard, on top of a pan frances (bolillo or French bread), with slices of tomato, radish, and cucumber. There is also a onion and mayo spread somewhere in there. This already loaded sandwich is topped off with curtido (chopped cabbage mix). This is the type of sandwich you eat with a knife and fork. Delish! The yucca fritas with curtido and some of the house sauce that comes in a bottle, makes an awesome bite. I also tried their loroco (green edible flower) pupusa which was cheesy and delish. I love the burnt cheese that oozes out. I will return!
